Probably the most underrated/undersppreciated release. Just gave it a thorough listen and dont understand why. At parts it is simply beautiful. Who else is a fan of this album????

I bought it when it first came out, listened to maybe half of it, and really haven't picked it up since. I forget about it, and when I see it, I never have the urge to play it.

Is this really good???????? I chalked it up as being a space album.

I'm not so big a fan. Yes, there are moments, especially Silver Apples of the Moon, but it's SPACE. I just can't get super into it. There's plenty of good Space segments, but outside of the show context, I don't care for it. If space comes up randomly on my iTunes, I usually skip it.

Though it is not "Grateful Dead" the track "Crowd Sculpture (Bob Bralove)" is one of my very favorites. I try to include it on tapes and discs that I give to non-deadheads when I attempt to show them the light. It seems to have that disorientation factor that was so much of the Deads magic.
I must comment on Grayfolded as TheGreat_and_Knowledgable and Lou Davenport have broached the subject. I bought a copy when it was first released (Transitive Axis) and again when it was released with an additional disc of material (Mirror Ashes).Having two copies of disc one, I figured, what better than to play both at once, on two different stereos, with a five second delay between them. Mindbending!
Typically "hidden" tracks are at the end of a cd. Grayfolded disc two has a hidden track at the beginning.
It is Grayfolded not Greyfolded.

I LOVE this release!

Every Halloweeen I set up my boom box near the bathroom window by my front door. I play a loop of tracks 3,6,8 & 9 and it gives some folks something to consider as they approach my door for their treats. Occasionally, I'll see the parent standing out on the sidewalk wondering what the sounds are. Even less frequently, I can see the all-knowing half smile of a parent who knows what it is.

I agree too that this is a work of beauty and truly underrated.

Wow.... I had almost forgotten about this one.

Count me as a definite fan... I have to dig that one out of the closet now.

Huge fan. I remember buying the CD with the ole high school sweet heart. Somehow, MMMMPPPPHHH years later I find it pleasing on so many levels. Silver Apples of the Moon always stands out to mefor some reason, although I know it is not the best track on the disc. Maybe a flashback
;)
Great something to turn out the lights and just listen to--

Doh! I was talking about Greyfolded--the name of which it seems I don't even know. Anyway, it's great. Check it out!

What I really love about this one is the track titles like "Post Modern High Rise Tabletop Stomp" and "Speaking In Swords" Kinda reminds me of the subtitles on "Anthem Of The Sun" like "The Faster We Go The Rounder We Get".
